Young Entrepreneurs Head to the White House: Watch Live!

We’re pretty excited today as we’re headed to the White House (yes, THAT  White House) for an event  for young entrepreneurs.  You know, the future Zuckerbergs and Kardashians (You have to admit: those raven-haired sisters have a good business sense). People who wanna run the world on their own terms and with their very own biz and brand.

Young entrepreneurs are not a rarity anymore either. A recent study found that 54% of 18-34 year olds have or plan to start their own company.

So today at 2 pm we’ll be inside the White House (YES!!!!), along with Sway, 150 DC-area HS and college students and rock star entrepreneurs like Dina Kaplan, founder of blip.tv and Jeff Hoffman, founder of Priceline (and perhaps responsible for William Shatner’s comeback).  This is all thanks to the White House and Young Entrepreneur Council, which promotes entrepreneurship as a solution to youth unemployment and underemployment.

Sway will be moderating a convo with the entrepreneurs and it won’t be your standard ol’ panel either.  Trust. We really want people to get something out of today’s event. We’ll be talking about failures, the dangers of being overconfident (Wonder if anyone is gonna reference  Kanye?) and real, legit tips on how to begin a biz. To watch parts of the event, go to WhiteHouse.gov as they’ll  be live streaming the event and if you have any questions for the panelists, let us know in the comments section!
