Is Kanye “stronger” in Rick Perry’s “Brokeback” jacket from his controversial “Strong” ad? Or should Ye “fear the vest” and give it up to Drake donning Rick Santorum’s sleeveless sweater wonder?

The Republican Slick Ricks have been spittin’ mad GOP game leading up to last night's caucus in Iowa -- and they’ve also been working the primary runway with some headline-grabbing campaign duds.
So we put an MTV twist on this sartorial showdown and had two of hip-hop’s hottest MCs, who have their own rumored beef, try on some elephant flair.
It’s pretty approps to dress up West in Rick P.’s controversial cowboy coat since Ye’s had his fair share of #WTF moments on national television -- and the former Texas guvnah joined him in internet infamy when he showed up on YouTube wearing an exact replica of Heath Ledger’s jacket from the Academy Award-winning cowboy-on-cowboy love story while ironically saying this:
“I’m not ashamed to admit that I’m a Christian, but you don’t need to be in the pews every Sunday to know there’s something wrong with this country when gays can serve openly in the military, but our kids can’t openly celebrate Christmas or pray in schools.”
The #SMH ad has received more than 730,000 dislikes to date (at one point, the most on YouTube according to the LA Times) and spawned a buttload of parodies poking fun at both Perry’s over-the-top Southern swagger and misguided choice of wardrobe.
And then we’ve got Drake working Iowa caucuses runner-up Rick S.’s ubiquitous sweater vest -- which has been sighted all over Iowa ever since it got the underdog candidate noticed at Mike Huckabee’s anti-abortion forum back in mid-December. Could his geeky garb be the cause for his campaign boost?
Now it’s making waves on the web with its own Twitter feed, @FearRicksVest, and Facebook page of the same name. And the infamous sweater vest even stars in its own YouTube video called “Sleeves Slow Me Down.” LMAO.
But for serious, while this is a silly way to engage with the craziness in Iowa – these guys are for real running for the White House. Sure, sweater vests are harmless -- but reportedly making racist comments or wanting to slash federal funding for education? Not so much.
So regardless of their election attire, you should know Perry and Santorum’s stances on the stuff that really matters -- like education, LGBT rights, abortion, and healthcare. Power of 12 has the lowdown! And while you're at it, seriously tell us: Who wore it best?
