From The Woodie Awards Red Carpet: What Jack Antonoff, Iggy Azalea + Others Wish They Knew When They Were 17

2014 mtvU Woodie Awards And Festival - Backstage
The mtvU Woodie Awards took place last week, but we can’t stop talking about how amazing it was! Lil Wayne no doubt rocked the house with his mad skills, and Best Video nominee Iggy Azalea took the stage wowing the crowd with her incredible talent.

We caught up with a few of the performers on the red carpet to chat about their thoughts on what they wish they had known at 17. I mean, their answers are so on point. Lets begin with Iggy, who told us, “I wish I knew that I knew nothing at all.” Hmm, alrighty, I dig that.

Next up we have Lena Dunham’s boyfriend, Jack Antonoff. He told us, “I wish I knew at 17 that I could get into more s—. Not bad s—, like I wouldn’t have done anything horrible or illegal, but like loosen the f— up.” This is so, so true and great advice. We often worry about such little things, but when we get older we will most likely kick ourselves for not just ENJOYING life more.

The guys of American Authors went with a funny statement, saying, “I wish I didn’t know fried chicken wasn’t healthy.” Can I get an amen for that? Mmm, chicken and waffles sounds quite fabulous at the moment.
