Many see Cody Simpson as Australia's version of Justin Bieber, and he's managed to make a name for himself stateside--sooo obvi that means Canada's Bieber better watch out, eh? No. Not quite. They're friends, silly! Cody and Justin support each other. What else do they both support? Anti-bullying efforts.
Cody signed on as an ambassador to Defeat the Label, an organization that works to "promote an inclusive, judgment-free society, void of social labels and stereotypes." For him, it hit close to home. "Bullying was something that I definitely experienced to an extent," Cody shared, "and I see how severe it can get and how much it can affect many kids' lives."
When he sat down with us to chat, he recounted the time about 4,000 of the 5,000 audience members at one of his shows raised their hands when he asked if they've ever been bullied! Watch:
