Even though they may be cold-blooded, vampires are so hot right now. Whether they're in “Twilight” or “Vampire Diaries” or this Sunday’s Season 6 premiere of “True Blood,” we just can’t get enough of 'em! We also can’t get enough of these celebs who play coldhearted vamps on screen but are anything but in real life.
+ Anna Paquin
There are so many ways to save the world. You could give to a cause. Or volunteer for a cause. Or you could just go braless. At least that’s what “True Blood” actress Anna Paquin did when she donated an autographed bra to a charity auction last year. The auction raised funds for Anna’s co-star Kristin Bauer’s efforts to stop elephant and rhino poaching in Africa. Anna’s “True Blood” character, Sookie, has yet to turn vamp, but who knows what the upcoming season has in store!
+ Robert Pattinson
Last fall,“Twilight” vamp Robert Pattinson took part in the Stand Up To Cancer telethon, which raised over $81 million for cancer. "This is about everyone joining together and advancing the cause," he said at the event. "So patients ... can start dreaming big dreams again." Speaking of dreams, are R-Patz and Kristen Stewart on or off? I’m pretty sure you know which of the two relationship outcomes is my dream. Can I holler at a vampire already?
+ Paul Wesley
Vampires may not do well in sunlight, but there are no rules against water! A few days ago, “Vampire Diaries” star Paul Wesley was in NYC to help launch Swatch’s Scuba Libre Days. He taught water safety to second graders and donated $50,000 to the Swim For Life Foundation. Okay, Paul. I guess we can forgive your bloodsucking ways, but only because you looked so darn cute teaching those kids how to swim.
+ Nina Dobrev
Nina Dobrev’s “Vampire Diaries” character Elena may have recently turned heartless, but in real life, the beautiful actress is anything but. She’s all about RYOT, a news site that not only shares stories, but tells readers how to take action with a related organization. “RYOT gives you the option to actually DO SOMETHING + help,” Nina recently Tweeted. “Because we can all make something bad into something good.” Follow in these bad vamps’ good footsteps with the action widgets below!
+ Brad Pitt
Any self-respecting list of vampires wouldn't be complete without Brad Pitt’s epic character, Louis de Pointe du Lac, in “Interview with the Vampire.” Brad plays the good guy on and off screen. In 2010, his Make It Right foundation spent over $16 million rebuilding the areas hardest hit by Hurricane Katrina.
