From an early age, Sandra Bullock was surrounded by quite the artistic family. Her mom was an Opera singer, and her dad worked at the Pentagon and was also a part-time vocal coach. So, it makes sense as why Sandra decided to pursue the career she did, and what a career it’s been!

The actress attended the 2014 “People’s Choice Awards” and she DEF came out on top! Sandra won four awards: favorite movie actress, dramatic movie actress, comedy movie actress, as well as favorite movie duo for her role in The Heat!

Sandra told the audience,

“An actor can’t do what they do without hundreds of amazing people working for them and alongside them. I learned so much this year. I got to work with Melissa McCarthy on ‘The Heat.’ … And on ‘Gravity,’ the nicest people in the world would string me up and leave me there, and I still had an amazing time.”

Ahh, doesn’t she just seem so down to earth, and like BFF material? Besides her brilliant acting skills, she also dives into the world of philanthropy, which we admire. Last year, Sandra took home the first-ever People’s Choice Humanitarian Award for her incredible work with Warren Easton Charter High School!

Of course, one of our favorite Sandy roles is still Annie Porter, from, you know, Speed.

She deserved every award last night, and we hope to see Sandy hitting the big screen more in 2014!
