Whoda thunk a party thrown by the Jenna Hamilton could get so out of hand? Jenna sure didn’t, and it has her trying to make up to her bestie Tamara. Will she be able to repair the friendship? We have a feeling the doughnuts she got her won’t do much.
A wise man once said: “Blame it on the ah ah-ah ah alcohol.” Wise man,but that excuse can only get you so far, eh. On last night’s episode of Awkward, Jenna threw her first party. Before you knew it, the screen went black–as did Jenna. We don’t know everyyything that happened because, well, Jenna can’t remember. (Yep, it was one of those parties.)
She slowly started recollecting some of what happened. And so, it turns out she made out with Ricky Schwartz–her BFF Tamara’s man of interest! DRAMZ! Ashley Rickards, who plays Jenna on the show, live-tweeted the epsiode and chimed in as s#!@ hit the fan:
It’s true. We all make mistakes, and hurting a best friend on accident is the worst feeling–moreso than the darn hangover that can come with it. In her blog post, titled “Blacked Out and Whacked Out,” Jenna admitted that “even as a newbie, I knew that blacking out during your own shindy was a total party foul.” She adds, “Funny thing about getting drunk…nothing. For six hours, I was walking and talking and the memory was nonexistent in my brain.”
We live and learn, homegirl. Now we know what not to do. We say “we” because, come on, who’d want to pull a Jenna Hamilton on their friend–we can all learn a bit or two from last night:
+ Avoid random attendees. For one, if you have to go the Facebook invite route, make sure it’s private to avoid randoms from showing up at the door. (Hundreds of randoms showed up at this party.)
+ Don’t sit on spills. Sitting on a spill won’t fix anything. Along with screaming “party foul” if you must, we suggest having a towel or something handy.
+ Remember your night. Most important, drink smart and know your limits. Spills you can easily fix, but friendships can be easily ruined. Plus, all this drama for nothing–she didn’t even remember/feel/taste anything! Learn about drinking smarter by taking action below.
“The Hangover” is a new series on MTV Act about drinking smarter. Remember the last time you woke up saying, “I’m never drinking again”? Tell us about it in the comments–and what you did (or didn’t do) to keep your word.
