In tonight's season finale of “Teen Mom 2,” Jenelle’s mom, Barbara, and Barbara’s boyfriend, Mike, find clear evidence that Jenelle and her BF, Kieffer, have been doing heroin. Barbara points out the potential dangers that Jenelle's son, three-year-old Jace might face -- not only that his mom wouldn’t be able to take care of him, but also the risks of the child being around syringes. Jace's grandma decides to talk to the magistrate and see if she can get Jenelle committed, saying it's for her own safety.
Jenelle and Kieffer have a different take. They’re angry that Barbara and Mike just walked in on them, and Kieffer wants to file charges. Jenelle hasn’t seen Jace in weeks and it’s getting to her, but she also says that if the alternative means not being with Kieffer, she’ll wait to see Jace when she’s able to get custody back. However, it's pretty clear she wouldn't be able to get custody in her current condition.
Barbara talks to the magistrate, and police pick up Jenelle briefly so she can have a doctor-given psychological evaluation. Jenelle is deeply upset about this, and in response Kieffer presses charges against Barbara and Mike for previously coming into their house. When Barbara learns about the charges, she cries over Jenelle, saying, “I have lost her. She’s gone.”
