It’s #ThrowbackThursday, and chances are your Instagram feed is full of awkward, adorable or awkwardly adorable pics of your friends and followers from back in the day. If your fave thing about Thursdays is celebrity throwbacks, we’ve got ‘em for ya! Today: “Jersey Shore” faves Snooki, JWOWW and Vinny.
It’s only been four years since the world was introduced to the orange tans and wild antics of the “Jersey Shore” crew. They made cheetah print mainstream for the first time since the ’90s, and expanded our vocabularies with new terms like “guido,” “fist-pump,” “GTL,” and “duck phone.”
+ Nicole aka Snooki
It’s hard to believe how far Snooki, JWOWW and Vinny have come over the years. Snooki’s gone from using the duck phone to drunkenly summon cabs to calling pediatricians when her baby son is sick. Snooki totally changed her (ring) tone, after she found out she was having little Lorenzo with fiancé Jionni LaValle.
+ Jenni aka JWOWW
These days, JWOWW can call herself a role model. People used to just talk about her huge, um, assets, but now they’re talking about how she’s huge advocate for same-sex marriage. She’s also found someone she can call any time of day — her hubby-to-be Roger, who proposed to her on the “Jersey Shore” spinoff “Snooki & JWOWW.”
The “Jersey Shore” cast member with the most awesome people to call, however, is probably Vinny. He has phone full of celebrity numbers, most of which he probably got while hosting his very own MTV talk show out of his family’s house. Yep. He made celebs come to him. That’s whats up.
If you’ve got an old phone lying around — ’cause you’ve probably been through like five different iPhones since “Jersey Shore” first aired — donate it to MTV and DoSomething.org‘s Cell Phones for Survivors campaign, which is raising money for domestic violence survivors between now and November 21st.
All you’ve gotta do is put it in a box, print a free shipping label, and drop your phones in the mail faster than our fave guidos and guidettes can say “GTL.” Once you’ve donated a phone, Tweet @MTVAct and @DoSomething about why you donated, and you could win the duck phone!
