Fun fact of the day: MTV Act is more than just a blog. Yup, we have a VMA category too: Best Video With A Message! This year, Demi Lovato won the coveted award for her will-definitely-make-you-tear-up tune "Skyscraper." Last year's winner? None other than Lady Gaga for "Born This Way." So we got on the 2012 VMA red carpet and totally geeked out about our category! We asked celebs about their all time favorite music video...with a message.

So the VMAs red carpet is the perf place to ask celebs what they're wearing, what projects they're working on and about, ya know, music videos (YES, we still play them on MTV.) But with the election right around the corner, we decided to get political with Alicia Keys, Tyga, Rihanna booty grabber A$AP Rocky, Big Sean (WHO HUGGED ME. UH-HUH. TRUE STORY.), Mac Miller, Jersey Shore's Pauly D, Vinny and Deena and other stars.

Last night at the 2012 Video Music Awards (you guys were all watching, riiight?) Demi Lovato dazzled as a performer and presenter. Not only did she strut her stuff on stage in the preshow, she also brought home the coveted Moonman for Best Video With A Message!
