Ellen DeGeneres has taken to her blog to weigh in on California’s Proposition 8, which banned same-sex marriage in the state after its passage in 2008. The out television host and comedienne (whose has a wife much hotter than most straight men do) wants the Supreme Court to grant gay couples the same legal rights as everyone else.

During a November episode, she told the crowd: “I have two little nieces, and I don’t want them to grow up in a world where girls have to like pink and boys have to like blue.
