"Locked Up" R&B singer Akon helped launch Lady Gaga's career and paved the way for her first two albums, but now it looks like he's the one following in the "Marry The Night" star's footsteps. Earlier this year, Forbes named Lady Gaga one of the World's 100 Most Powerful Women ahead of both Oprah and Beyonce. In a new list from Forbes, Akon was named one of the 40 Most Powerful Celebrities in Africa!
