Rita Ora turned 23 this week (and had a unique, 70s themed party for it!). Like many celebs, instead of asking for gifts for her big day, she’s asking her fans to donate to charity in lieu of getting her any presents.

The Royal Marsden is a cancer center in Rita’s native United Kingdom, and annually it helps more than 50,000 patients. Its good work and cancer research also have an impact on cancer treatment and patients who live all over the globe.
If you go to the donation page and are intimidated by seeing a pound sign instead of a dollar sign, don’t let it throw you. The Royal Marsden does take donations from other countries, including America. If you’re still uncertain about pounds to dollars and all that, but want to help, I don’t think Rita would have any complaints if you support a local hospital or cancer research center. Everyone’s trying to beat cancer, so it would still be a great b-day gift.
If you want to help a place fighting cancer that automatically takes dollars instead of pounds, you could take a cue from Pauly D, Diem Brown and Vinny Guadagnino by supporting FCancer Inwykiwyk. Or you could check out Britney Spears’s request to give donations to St. Jude, which helps children with serious illnesses, including cancer. Since Brit’s asking this to be done for her birthday, it could be kinda like a double birthday gift! And it always is great to see celebs like Rita and Britney using their b-days to help others.
Donate to the Royal Marsden for Rita Ora's birthday!
For Britney's b-day, donate to St. Jude and help kids get more birthdays!
