OMG, can you believe it’s the last day of 2013? Lots of people are talking about the past year, what they’ve accomplished and what they hope to accomplish next in 2014, and Pitbull has a great idea about how to move forward.
Leave all the negative in 2013
— Pitbull (@pitbull) December 30, 2013
Simple and sweet and we love it. The world could always use less negativity, and just the thought of a year without negativity really lifts the weight right off your shoulders.
Getting rid of negativity could mean working on your inner critic and telling them to shove it. It could also mean learning to say and think more positive things about yourself. If people around you are really negative, 2014 might be the year to start hanging with new peeps. Or, if people around you are negative, maybe you could try to talk to them (nicely) about it. They might not even realize they come off that way.
How you think about things can also make a diff. For instance, if your New Years resolution sounds negative (people often pick apart their bodies for resolutions) maybe instead you can say, “I want to be healthier and happier in 2014.” Like Pitbull, we can’t wait to see what 2014 brings, and we want it to be the best year ever (’cause we’re leaving the negative stuff behind!).
So how will you work to keep negativity back in 2013 and have positivity going forward in 2014?
