Started in 2010 by teenager Brittany McMillan as a response to the young people who had taken their own lives, Spirit Day is back today--and it's only getting bigger, stronger, and purpler! Wearing purple today (October 20) symbolizes support for LGBT people and against bullying of LGBT teens--Jersey Shore's Vinny and Sammi, Real World: San Diego's Frank Sweeney, almost all of the Awkward. cast, and many more are taking part!
