It sounds like Naya Rivera is glaad she was able to take part in the 24th Annual GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles this past weekend. She was joined by “Glee” costar Darren Criss, and they sure weren’t the only big names there: Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Bill Clinton were also in attendance, and Drew Barrymore was the host. Santana Lopez Naya Tweeted:
Such a fun show tonight! Bill Clinton’s speech was incredibly touching. And a big congrats to Steve Warren for his award! #glaadawards

Steve Warren is an entertainment lawyer and received the Stephen F. Kolzak Award from Leonardo and Charlize Theron. (Trying not to be jealz.) Former President Bill Clinton, who clearly impressed Naya, was given the Advocate for Change Award. The former POTUS said, “Over the years, I was forced to confirm the fact that people who oppose equal rights for gays based on the marriage issue are basically acting out of concern for their own identity, not out of respect for anyone else.” Chelsea Clinton also came to the event to show her support for both her dad and for LGBT rights.
A number of other awards were given out. “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” brought home the honor for Outstanding Film, Wide Release; “The New Normal” won for Outstanding Comedy Series, and Outstanding Daily Drama went to “Days of Our Lives.” Stephen Chbosky, the writer and director of “Perks,” said that this was the most meaningful award for his movie. Naya might not have gone home with any awards (this year), but tell me the night wasn’t quite rewarding in and of itself!
