Kelly, who’s hooked up with MusiCares for this movement, Tweeted:
Commitment Day wants to make New Year’s Resolutions totally old-fashioned. The movement lasts all year, and it’s dedicated to making America healthier by getting more exercise, eating better, taking care of the earth, and the link. To start it off, Commitment Day has set up 5k running and walking events in cities across the country!
A few hundred thousand people are expected to take part, and if you’re not super athletic, no worries. You don’t have to run and impress people. You can go at your own pace and be totally comfortable. It does cost money to register for Commitment Day, but Kelly offers you a code on her website so you can get a discount. You can also make a donation to one of Commitment Day’s Charity Partners or fundraise for the charities in order to get registered.
Wanna start off 2013 by getting healthier, helping charities and making Kelly happy? Now that sounds like a great start to a promising new year!
