Nick Cannon is ready to go (RED) for World AIDS Day on December 1! MTV will be airing the special “I’m Positive” on Saturday at 7/6C, and if you want a way to help end AIDS (and dance while you’re at it — seriously), Nick has a great idea.
Mimi’s hubs Tweeted:
Each day about a thousand babies are born with HIV, but it’s possible to bring that number down. (RED) is hoping those digits can drop to zero by the year 2015. To help spread awareness and raise funds, EDM artists such as Tiësto are headed Down Under to take part in Australia’s largest dance festival on December 1. Not an Aussie? No prob: it’s gonna be livestreaming on YouTube. On top of that, the global dance album Dance (RED) Save Lives is now out, and every penny earned from it goes to combat AIDS.
Want to know other ways to help end AIDS? You can educate yourself on HIV/AIDS, and get yourself tested to know for sure if you have it or not. If you do have HIV, talk to your doctor, because these days you can live a long, healthy life with HIV. To prevent yourself from getting HIV, make sure you always use protection if you have sex (I’m talking condoms — other forms of birth control like the pill protect against pregnancy, but not HIV).
Remember to tune in to Dance (RED) Save Lives this Saturday, and see if you can buy that album. Who wants to place bets that Nick is getting down to it right now?
