Sweet Tweet: Emmy Rossum Helps Feed Children With…Boots!

Emmy Rossum may star in a show called “Shameless,” but she has no reason to feel shame. This talented singer and actress is also a compassionate philanthropist, and she knows how to be stylish while helping out.

Going onto Twitter, the “Phantom of the Opera” star gave us a pic of her cute new boots and told us a little about them:

DKNY teamed up with FEED and together they’re putting out some cool new merchandise and proceeds go to the United Nations World Food Programme to help feed lil ones in need. Besides getting boots like Emmy’s, you could also get a diaper bag and a tote that comes with an umbrella.

Emmy’s boots aren’t cheap — they cost $115.00! — but that purchase will give food to 25 kids. The price for the tote bag and umbrella goes up ($220.00), but it will also do a lot more good: this time 100 kids will get meals! The diaper bag also costs $220.00, though this time the money will go to supply a year of micronutrient powder to one mother and one child.

Even if you can’t afford to buy these things (hey, those are big prices for a lot of us) you can still get involved with FEED. And maybe when it rains cats and dogs we’ll not only see Emmy strolling around with her boots, but also have a FEED umbrella to keep her dry?
