Watching more coverage of Missing Flight MH370... I can't even imagine what the families of missing passengers are feeling right now í ˝í¸Łí ˝í˛”— Demi Lovato (@ddlovato) March 26, 2014
The plane went missing earlier this month. On this past Monday, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak said in a statement: “Based on their new analysis, Inmarsat and the AAIB have concluded that MH370 flew along the southern corridor, and that its last position was in the middle of the Indian Ocean, west of Perth. This is a remote location, far from any possible landing sites. It is therefore with deep sadness and regret that I must inform you that, according to this new data, flight MH370 ended in the southern Indian Ocean.”
However, there is still some controversy. Some family members believe this is not the whole story and are holding on to the belief that their loved ones might still be alive. As CNN explains, “They [the family members] are not satisfied with the Malaysian government’s explanation that satellite data indicates the plane most likely crashed in the southern part of the Indian Ocean. The relatives want more information and tangible proof like debris.”
Many people are also upset that the family members were told in a text that their loved ones died. There is much mystery and sadness surrounding the story, and we can all hope for definitive answers and comfort for those involved.
