Ever since her triumphant return to the red carpet, Demi Lovato has been a powerful pop voice for anyone struggling through personal strife. Her devoted Lovatics always had her back, proving that love really does speak louder.
With the release of her fierce empowerment anthem “Skyscraper,” Demi gave the world a raw look at her courageous comeback -- and now MTV is preparing to celebrate and share her recovery with the intimate special “Stay Strong,” airing on March 6 at 10/9c and giving a truly personal look at her personal battles.
In the meantime, the brave singer continues to use her own experience to fuel a personal crusade against our nation’s completely whack weight expectations:
Most models are thinner than 98% of Americans. Instead of trying to change our bodies, how about we try to change our culture? #NEDAwareness

Demi’s hashtag is a shout-out to National Eating Disorder (NED) Awareness Week (February 26 – March 3), which aims to reduce the stigma around speaking up about body image issues and calls attention to the pressures, attitudes and behaviors in our society that promote these life-threatening illnesses.
So join Demi by showing you won’t stand for unrealistic beauty standards – and tune in on March 6th to experience her inspiring pop homecoming!
