Just like we were are anticipating Madonna’s performance at the Super Bowl (Is Queen Madge back and killed it at the Super Bowl? Or were you disappointed by her lack of singing — and dancing?) the masses are eagerly awaiting Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg’s reunion performance at Coachella, come April 15 and 22. Are they still ‘G’ thangs or not-so-much?! Well to add to all the hoopla, Snoop is running an art contest so get your creative on!
Doggy Dogg tweeted on Super Bowl Sunday this message. Does anyone else wish that he used better grammar?!
Tha Doggfather wants YOU to revamp an iconic image of himself and Dre posing in front of an old school Chevy Impala. The photo is clearly from the 90’s and looks like it was taken while filming Dre’s music video for “Let Me Ride.”
Winner of this art contest will have have their winning artwork featured as Snoop’s Facebook and Twitter icon during his Coachella performances. Now that’s some legit street cred.
You can submit your artwork via Twitter, Facebook or even Snoop’s comments section of his blog. And it looks like he’ll be picking a winner in April. Some of entries have been interesting thus far, like this spin on Snoop and Dre at Coachella. Another entry looks like a movie poster for a country western film or something.
We love rappers that are fans of art. Swizz Beatz and Kanye heart artist Basquiat while Jay-Z has named-checked Picasso. So props to Snoop for encouraging artists — newbies and accomplished ones alike — to get their work out there. I mean, Snoop did discover Bow Wow so he might just discover the next Warhol!

Send your artwork to Snoop and it might just appear on his FB & Twitter feed during his Coachella performance!
