Aw, man, it’s the day after Thanksgiving, and are you stuffed or what? A lot of us might be thinking those second helpings were a liiiittle much, but many people struggle to just get one solid helping of food. Fergie knows this, and that’s why she working with the Unilever Project Sunlight.
Showing how fergalicious giving back can be, Fergie recorded this vid:
“With little actions that we make every day, we can create a brighter future for our children everywhere,” she said. “Project Sunlight got off to a fantastic start on Universal Children’s Day by helping millions of children. That was just the beginning. This holiday season in the U.S., Unilever Project Sunlight is partnering with Feeding America to donate two million meals to help the one in five children who face food insecurity every day.”
Sounds like Fergie’s mommy instincts are kicking in, but you don’t need to be a parent or think about “our children” to know it’s important to make sure everyone gets enough food, and that it’s good, healthy food. If you go to the Project Sunlight website, you can join up. The website also has tips and ideas on how you can make differences in small actions, like working on sustainable living, eating healthy and not wasting water. You can also check out Feeding America, the org Unilever has teamed up with. There are tons of ways you can give back, like donating or volunteering, and there’s something really yummy about knowing you’ve done a good deed.
