Picture this, “Pretty Little Liars” fans: Keegan Allen and Tyler Blackburn walking along the oceanfront. If you think that’s the best thing ever, then listen up, because that wouldn’t be possible without conservation of our world’s oceans. Thankfully our favorite Rosewood boys did their part by hosting an event for World Oceans Day this past weekend.

Just liked Sophia Bush tweeted last week, our oceans have some major problems — but they can be minimized if we take action. To raise awareness about World Oceans Day, Oceana — the largest international organization focused just on ocean conservation — invited Blackburn, Allen, and Aimee Teegarden from “Friday Night Lights” to host the first-ever Oceana Beach House event.

Outside of the fact that we need our oceans for our beach fantasies, what makes them so important? Well, for starters, they generate most of the oxygen we breathe. On top of that, our oceans regulate our climate, clean the water we drink and help feed us.

If you’re ready to tackle ocean conservation head-on, you’ll definitely want to see what Oceana is all about and what victories the organization has racked up recently. For example, just in the last few weeks, Oceana halted offshore drilling in Belize! For more ways on how you can help take care of our oceans, take action below.
