Yesterday Ludacris went on a Throwback Thursday spree, showing everything from hanging with Prez Obama when he was Senator Obama to showing himself as a giant tube of toothpaste on “The Simpsons.” That’s right.
Luda shared this image on Instagram, writing, “#tbt me on the Simpsons. #ludacrest toothpaste lol”.
In the episode, Ludacris as Luda-Crest does a whole rap on the importance of taking care of your teeth. He lays it out, saying, “I’m the enemy of the cavity/ Unstoppable like gravity/So brush with regularity/Or you will face calamity/I’ll see you in Atlanta, G.A.” (You really just have to see the episode.)
Brushing and flossing might not be the most exciting things to do in the world, but they do matter to your health. The American Dental Association recommends that each day you floss once and brush your teeth twice. But what’s going on in practice? As it is now, approximately one in two Americans don’t floss each day and one fifth don’t brush twice a day.
Brushing and flossing don’t just give you a beautiful smile. Not doing these things can lead to problems, including bad breath, gum disease and tooth loss. But it actually goes beyond that. It can affect the rest of your health, and make it more likely for you to catch things like pneumonia or even get kidney disease. We don’t wanna scare you or guilt trip you or anything, we’re just saying brushing your teeth is a lot more important than many people realize. This cartoon rap is on to something!
