It’s now day five of Black History Month! Yesterday we shared Nas’s mission to help you experience Black History Month in style (and learn more about important African Americans), and now we’re gonna share Ludacris and the Ludacris Foundation’s mission.
Since the beginning of the month Luda has been sharing his #BlackHistoryFact of the day. Yesterday, he wrote on Instagram, “Your #BlackHistoryFact of the day presented by: The @ludacrisFdtn #TheLudacrisFoundation”.
If you haven’t been following Ludacris on social media (or his foundation, BTW), check out some of the other facts he’s shared! On February 1, he shared some info on actresses and acting roles:
On Groundhog’s Day he ‘grammed about astronauts:
Then he shared this fact about writer Maya Angelou (check her out at your local library if you haven’t already):
If you start following Ludacris on social media (I mean, if you’re not already) odds are you’ll learn quite a bit during this important month!
And can we give Ludacris a hand for his Ludacis Foundation, which is presenting all these important bits of info? The foundation has been around since 2001 and it’s dedicated to “helping youth help themselves.” Sharing these Black History Facts not only inspires young people with histories and stories about influential African Americans, but it also encourage them to continue to work forward for equality and diversity. We can’t wait to see the rest of the months’ facts, Luda!
