While the 2014 Winter Olympics go on, there is another battle happening on the streets of Sochi. The city has been accused of killing far too many stray dogs.

Leave it to American U.S. freestyle skier Gus Kenworthy to take the initiative to use his Olympian spotlight to help save the dogs (take note, Lochte)! The American hottie, and we mean HOTTIE, took to Twitter to share the cutest picture ever of his finding in Russia. He Tweeted, “Oh my glob, look who I just found! :) #sochistrays

With many strays being put down by the Russian authorities, the international community went into an uproar, and Gus seems to be an animal lover doing his part in helping these poor lil’ pups.

He continued on Twitter by Tweeting, “Also, for the people wondering, I’ve lined up kennels 4 the pups & made vaccination appointments. Doing all I can to bring them home w/ me!” Ahhh, what an amazing thing for him to do!
