Our favorite soccer stud, Robbie Rogers, has no doubt had one wild year. He stepped down from soccer after publicly coming out, only to making a massive comeback by joining the LA Galaxy, and we admire his courage and passion to use his voice to change the world.
We talked to him in LA last month about the campaign he plans to launch, and we are excited to see him continuing to work on it. He took to his Instagram to upload a new photo in which he's reppin' a new 'Move BEYOND It' badge.
According to the campaign's website, "Beyond 'IT' is a global platform of support for people and initiatives to invite our culture to move beyond the labels & stereotypes that limit us from reaching our full potential." I couldn't agree more! The past few days Robbie has been re-tweeting messages from fans who have purchased the Beyond "IT" shirts. He Tweeted, "For an amazing cause. Tweet me pics of your T and I'll repost them!"
Robbie exclusively told us last month that he wanted to do something "bigger than me, and bigger than homophobia in sports." So, he decided to focus on homophobia, disabilities, racism, and sexism. When the campaign gets started, fans will vote on which of the various charities featured under each category should get their donation. The featured charities will rotate every six months.
Although the campaign hasn't launched just yet, you can head head on over to the Facebook page to stay in the loop!
