Prepare to witness the most presh video of the week! While Sara Bareilles performed in Florida over the weekend, she pulled a young fan on stage. It wasn’t just any young boy, but a 4 year-old cancer patient by the name of Joshua. After being diagnosed with Leukemia in February, “Brave” became his theme song.
During the concert Sara told the audience, “I want to do something really, really special tonight. There is a very, very special, brand-new friend of mine who has come to the show, and I want to introduce him to you. You guys are going to fall in love with him the way that I did. Can we welcome to the stage … Mr. Joshua.” OMGGG, what an amazing surprise for Joshua.
A person in the United States is diagnosed with a type of blood cancer nearly every 4 minutes. Leukemia in particular not only affects the blood, but also the bone marrow. The development of the cancer comes from inside the bone marrow, where the blood cells have rapidly produced.
Joshua’s story is so inspiring, and he even has his own website where his supporters can continue to root him on. So rad that Sara took the time to dedicate the song to him during the show! Sara def has a lot to celebrate these days. I mean, she was just nominated for a GRAMMY! Congrats, Sara!
