Selena Gomez wants you to “Come & Get It” — or, rather, come and give it — in Boston. The singer and actress recently announced that she’ll be donating $1 from every ticket sold at her upcoming Boston show to the The One Fund Boston.
One Fund is a charity created by Massachussets Governor Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Tom Menino to help those affected by the Boston Marathon bombings. So far, it has raised almost $29 million to aid those whose physical and mental health were affected by the bombings. Three lives were lost, and more than 175 others were injured during April 15’s tragic events. Yet in the face of darkness, Americans have come together to show that Love is Louder than any explosion or act of violence.
Selena will hit the stage at Boston’s TD Gardens on October 12th, but you can also take action below to support the cause in other ways. Now if only we could convince Seleners to donate $1 to charity for every view her hot new “Come & Get It” video gets. … We’d def have it on repeat!
