This weekend, Rihanna kicks off her “Loud Tour” with fellow Grammy winner Cee Lo Green. Starting Saturday, they'll be heating things up across the U.S. and Canada all summer. Regardless of whether you're hitting up the concert or not, we've got three ways you can “get loud” with Rihanna on the issues she cares about most.
Water For All
Rihanna was one of the many celebrities, including Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift, to take part in the hilarious Celebrity Tap campaign by UNICEF. The international superstar diva (as they describe her in a breathy, perfume ad-worthy voice during the tounge-in-cheek commercial) donated her tap water to raise money for children in need of clean drinking water. Celebrity Tap is now closed, but you can still support kids around the world through the UNICEF Tap Project. For just $1 you can provide a child with safe water for 40 days.
We're Gonna Party Cuz It's Your Birthday
And we're gonna party because of all the cancer survivors out there who will live for many more birthdays. Thanks to breast cancer screenings, women with the disease have a huge chance of detecting and fighting cancer early on. Rihanna gave a birthday shout-out to the American Cancer Society, and along with stars like Ricky Martin, Justin Bieber and Jordin Sparks, supports their More Birthdays campaign. Buy music, send birthday cards and find other ways to get involved with their efforts to fight cancer and save lives.
Believe
Rhianna founded The BELIEVE Foundation to spread awareness about blood cancers and to encourage more folks to donate bone marrow for sick children. Her goal is to provide the medical support and attention kids with leukemia and other diseases requiring a bone marrow transplant need to live healthy, independent lives. You can donate to raise awareness and continue helping children in need of donors.
