If you didn’t make it through the 20-hour broadcast of the Grammys last night, perhaps you missed the fiery staging of Nicki Minaj’s “Roman Holiday” aka “Confessions at the Staple Center.”
The platinum-haired and crazy-eyed femcee literally climbed the walls as alter ego Roman Zolanski in the performance's super creepy intro film, and then exorcised her diva demons on stage -- rapping from shackles, dancing with some freaky monks and levitating above the crowd like a possessed pop goddess.
It was pretty bonkers -- so it’s not surprising that the interwebz has been blowing up with theories as to what the Pink Friday princess was trying to achieve with her religiously charged spectacle. (Hello, Like A Prayer – maybe she’s taking cues from Madge’s playbook after their Super Bowl showdown?)
True to form, Miss Minaj could care less about da haters but she does want her Barbz to be aware of this important theme in last night’s hip-hop exorcism:
And more importantly, love people for WHO they are. #nohate #nojudgement #nocondemnation *salutes the roman empire*

We’re still so emotional from all the highs and lows last night -- Adele’s triumphant comeback, Whitney’s tragic absence -- so we’re glad that Nicki is bringing all the hype back to a message of tolerance and compassion.
You gotta hand it to the Harajuku Barbie –- she always keeps us guessing!
