One look at the beautiful Naya Rivera, and you’d assume she had the most amazing high school experience ever, but that wasn’t the case for the “Glee” actress, who recently shared her prom horror story with Complex magazine.
On top of making fun of her weight and dancing with other girls all night, her tactless date was insistent upon having after-prom sex — and Naya was so not havin’ it.
“He started talking about how skinny I was,” Naya told Complex. He was grinding on every other girl at the dance while I sat alone at the table, looking like a señorita. I didn’t even dance. It was horrible.” Yet even after his inconsiderate antics, Naya’s date invited her back to the hotel to get it on. “Then he said, ‘So are you coming to the hotel?’ And I was like, ‘No, my dad is picking me up. On top of that, you’re trying to have sex with me? How rude are you?'” You GO girl!
Although after-prom sex has become something of a high school tradition, you should never feel peer pressured into doing something you’re not ready for. And in spite of what some people say, only half of all high school students have actually had sex! Some teens get down because they think it’s the cool thing to do, but I’m willing to bet Naya grew up to be cooler than 99.99% of all of her classmates, whether she was getting down or not.
Follow the action links below to learn more about how to take control of your sex life, and follow in Naya’s footsteps if you don’t care to conform to high school sexual stereotypes. You sex hipster, you. “Best believe I’ll be at that reunion though, ” Naya added. Best believe her prom date is gonna feel so silly.
