As if the name Show Me Your Mumu wasn't compelling enough, the fashion line went and teamed up with Care for Kenya to design a stunning new collection benefiting underprivileged women and children in the Kibera slum of Kenya.
Debuting Thursday during Nolcha Fashion Week, each of the pieces is handmade in Kenya using African textiles with vibrant colors and patterns. Much of the production is done by women in Kibera who are able to use this partnership as an entrepreneurial springboard; proceeds from sales will go toward Care for Kenya, the organization's programs and the women who helped to create the garments.

Nolcha's website says, "The aim of this project is to provide reliable and sustainable income for Kenyan women who are deeply affected by HIV/AIDS and have limited work capabilities."
Amid the glitter and decadence of fashion week, this collaboration is a breath of fresh, designer, mumu-y air. After its official unveiling on the runway Feb. 10, the Show Me Your Mumu--Care For Kenya Collection will be available online. Perfect attire for willing spring to come early...
