GET IT girls! If you haven’t seen the vids of Michelle Obama and Beyonce dancing with middle schoolers yesterday (May 3rd) during the Let’s Move! Flash Workout event, check ‘em out:

Now for Ms. Knowles in Harlem:

Did these not just make your day? Seriously, when was the last time you’ve seen any First Lady do the Running Man? And we love how Beyonce surprised P.S. 161 by just showing up in the middle of their performance. Kids were screaming, running in the wrong direction… All that perfect choreography seemed to be headed out the door, until miraculously they got right back in step like it was nothing! Bey’s back-up dancers might have some competition.

Yesterday’s event was the culmination of a month long effort by Beyonce and First Lady Michelle Obama to get children and teens more active through the Let’s Move! campaign. Prior to the Flash Workout, Beyonce released a music video remix of her popular “Get Me Bodied,” renamed “Move Your Body” to inspire tweens and teens to stay fit.

Students from 250 schools across the nation learned the choreography from the video and at 1:43p.m. on Tuesday paused coursework to perform for their teachers, families and classmates. Two very lucky schools–Alice Deal Middle School in Washington D.C. and PS 161 Pedro Albizu Campus in New York City–got to perform their moves for Michelle Obama and Beyonce. (Adorable pic of this to the right)

And did you notice those super cute tees Beyonce and the students are wearing in the vids? They were designed by her fashion line, Dereon, exclusively for the Lets Move! campaign.

You don’t have to be in middle school to stay active. Check out Beyonce’s “Move Your Body” video, practice those moves, then get more tips for staying fit on Act.
