It’s important to make sure that you’re on top of your emotional health — so today at the White House, as part of President Obama and Vice President Biden’s National Conference on Mental Health, Love is Louder announced a new commitment to celebrate you and other young people who are taking control of their own emotional health and supporting friends who may be struggling.
MTV and The Jed Foundation created Love is Louder to raise the volume around a critical message — that love and support are more powerful than the external and internal voices that bring us down, cause us pain and make us feel hopeless. Hundreds of thousands of young people have already joined the movement by sharing photos, videos and messages revealing what love is louder than for them. Celebs like Ke$ha and Demi Lovato have gotten involved, sharing messages of support and encouraging their fans to join them.
Starting today, Love is Louder is asking YOU to take action to support either your own or a friend’s emotional health, and tweet it at @LoveisLouder. @MTV will retweet some of the best! So what are you waiting for? After all, #LoveisLouder when you take a stand!
