If you thought Lindsay Lohan was laying low these days, you were wrong. In what may have been the most well-timed NOH8 campaign ever, LiLo struck a pose for gay rights in a photo spread revealed last week across the internets. And just as the photos hit the net, gay marriage was legalized in New York. Looks like LaLohan may have struck a chord, too.
The NOH8 photos, taken in Lohan's home, show the singer/actress throwing up peace signs and tagging her walls with lipstick, spreading the message of equal rights for all.
By joining the campaign, Lohan joins hundreds of other celebrities and supporters, like Kim Kardashian, Perez Hilton and Amber Rose, who have spoken out albeit silently--each celeb wears duct tape around his/her mouth--against Prop 8, which amended the California constitution and banned gay marriage from the state.
It was almost fortuitous then that the latest NOH8 spread featuring Lindsay was unveiled this past weekend, just as gay marriage was legalized in New York. The "Mean Girls" star, and New York native, took to Twitter immediately, posting "Proud to be FROM NY!"and "#GayMarriageLegalNY" to more than 2 million followers. But LiLo wasn't the only one tweeting about the marriage law that sent New York City into a tizzy late Friday night. Ricky Martin took to tweeting "not more, not less. Just #EQUALITY.," and Lady Gaga tweeted "I can't stop crying. We did it kids." Looks like the NOH8 message is spreading...
