We can't help but obsessively watch Kim Kardashian's marriage unravel, travel to Dubai and hang with BFF Jonathan on "Kourtney & Kim Take New York." But there's a storyline on the reality show that we haven't seen yet: Kimmie Noel's generous $50K donation to The Trevor Project.
It's been reported that the reality TV mogul raised this particular chunk of change back in September, when she participated in a NY fundraiser at a big finance firm. On that particular day, Kim put on her best business attire and tried out trading for Cantor Fitzgerald, an office that lost over two-thirds of its employees on 9/11. Traders marked the 10th anniversary by donating a day's worth of money made to charities around the world — and invited Kim to join the hustle. Seems she's held on to her check since then, making up her mind where to direct her cash money.
And ... the diva chose wisely. We've raved about the Trevor Project (and its creative supporters) before, but must reinforce its coolness. The Trevor Project is a major LGBT youth support resource, having been at the forefront of suicide prevention and anti-bullying campaigns since 1998 -- answering 200,000 hotline calls over the years. Two hundred thousand young people who've been able to reach out for help. We'd say this is $50K wisely spent.
