Khloe Kardashian No Longer Supports PETA After Flour-Bomb on Kim; PETA Responds

Kim Kardashian is no stranger to the news, but lately she’s been in the headlines for wearing flour over her chic clothes. Not by choice — someone dumped flour on her while she was at a charity event for Dress for Success — of all places!

Christina Cho, who dumped the infamous flour and shouted “Fur hag!” at Kim, has been involved with PETA. The org has denied involvement with the act and takes no responsibility for these actions, but the organization is being put under scrutiny after what happened. And Kim’s own sis Khloé — who has posed nude for PETA before — has cut all ties to the organization she once took part in.

“I just received word that the woman responsible has very close ties to PETA, despite PETA publicly stating otherwise,” Khloé said. “Not only has PETA lied to the public, but they have proved that they support this kind of behavior. I’ve been a vocal supporter of PETA for a long time but I have also been very vocal about anti-bullying, so this was a huge disappointment for me.”

“Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and opinions — I personally don’t wear fur but that doesn’t mean I am going to force my views on anyone else, ESPECIALLY by violating them,” she went on. “We all need to practice what we preach. I will still continue to NOT wear fur, but I will no longer support PETA. Bullying and harassment is NEVER a solution, and I won’t be a part of any organization that thinks otherwise.”

We had to add that bunny and cover some stuff up…

In a statement to MTV Act, PETA’s Media Liaison Jane Dollinger said, “PETA has tried everything from polite letters to public protests, but Kim Kardashian has not been moved by the news that animals are beaten, electrocuted, and even skinned alive for real fur garments. Whoever threw that flour may reach her when our polite appeals did not.”

Asked about her response to Khloé leaving the group, she said, “We appreciate that Khloé will remain on the animals’ side by not wearing fur — that’s what counts. If one of our volunteers is responsible, it doesn’t alter the fact that no animal deserves to be electrocuted, shot, or poisoned for a bit of fur clothing. Khloe is just defending her sister, and we know she has a good heart, so we wish her well. We just wish she also had more influence on her sister.”
