Earlier today, a federal appeals court in California gave a judicial judo chop to Prop 8 -- ruling the state’s divisive ban on same-sex marriage unconstitutional -- and when the news hit Hollywood, celebs overjoyed with the overturning blew up Twitter with equality shout-outs.
There’s Sophia Bush’s direct court quotes; Cory Monteith’s snarky approval; Olivia Wilde’s rainbow warrior yell; and Kelly Osbourne’s heartfelt happiness. Of course, out-and-proud stars like Ellen Degeneres and Jesse Tyler Ferguson sent out their 140-characters of sincere celebration, too.

Like Olivia says, the fight ain’t over –- the decision will most certainly be appealed and the next stop on this crazy legal train is also the last stop: the U.S. Supreme Court. Once it hits those hallowed halls, the final judgment on marriage equality in the land of the free hangs in the balance.
