Last fall's presidential election was divided, but there's one candidate all Americans seem to agree on for 2016: Justin Timberlake. According to a nationwide poll, JT won by a landslide when voters were asked which musician they'd like to make president.
We already know he looks good in a "Suit & Tie," but where does Justin stand on the issues?
+ Same-Sex Marriage
@barackobama inspires me once again. True leadership is when you are willing to risk your power and voice so that ALL of ours can be heard.— Justin Timberlake(@jtimberlake) May 9, 2012
Two suits and ties are obvi better than one in JT's book! He Tweeted this loving message after Obama voiced his support for same-sex marriage. "We should be using our differences to bring ourselves closer together," Justin said in a later interview. "You know? Not be afraid of something that we don’t know.”
Many schools have lost their music programs to budget cuts, but if JT were prez, he'd bring 'em "
Sexy Back." Justin addressed music education at this year's Grammy Awards when he presented the first-ever Music Educator Award. The award was created "to recognize music educators for their contributions to our musical landscape and their positive influence on their students' musical experiences."
+ Health care
JT cares about the people's health! He and his wife, Jessica Biel, were two of many celebs who took part in last year's Stand Up To Cancer telethon, which raised more than $81 million for cancer research and treatment. Seems like Jessica's more than prepared to follow in First Lady Michelle's health-conscious footsteps.
+ The Environment
No wonder y'all voted for JT! He's mastered how to appeal to hippies and businessmen at the same time. In 2009, the political genius opened Mirimichi — one of the most environmentally friendly golf courses in the world. It’s certified bird-friendly (Not sure what this means. How often do birds die from golf ball-related injuries?) and located in his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee.
It's about time Americans come together! And it comes as no surprise that JT was the one to make us do it! He is good at everything, after all. Take action below to do away with the Red State/Blue State rivalry and rock your purple "Suit & Tie" for one of JT's favorite causes.
