In case you’re color-blind, it’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month. And while pink isn’t a new cause, it’s an extremely important one — according to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, nearly 40,000 Americans will die of breast cancer in 2011.
So the NFL is making A Crucial Catch with primetime football players sporting their care flair on the field. Selena Gomez, Britney Spears, Emma Roberts and Demi Lovato are all putting on the do-good hue with limited edition fashion finds. And of course, Jenni, Demi (Mrs. Kutcher if you’re nasty) and Ali — three of entertainment’s most influential leading ladies — weren’t going to take five during this important tata time. Instead, they made Five.
The three diva directors took on the creative challenge of steering one of these poignant and powerful stories while Rosario Dawson (“Sin City”), Lyndsy Fonseca (“How I Met Your Mother”), Ginnifer Goodwin and Jeanne Tripplehorn (“Big Love”), Josh Holloway (“Lost”), and Taylor Kinney (“The Vampire Diaries”) all lent their on-camera talents.
And Ms. Aniston gets extra action points for hopping back in front of the lens for a PSA promoting Ford Warriors in Pink (they’re also sponsoring the Five series). Plus, she donned the “Reach for the Moon” tee that she designed — 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the shirt will go toward finding a cure for breast cancer.
