+ Watch Daft Punk, "Get Lucky" (#votedaftpunk)
Studies show that teens and young adults "Get Lucky" five times more often during summer months than they do during winter ones. And, by "studies," I mean those I have conducted on myself. Always get tested before you get lucky, and don't forget to use protection! Although it's warm out, one part of your body should always be wearing a sweater, ifyaknowwhatimean.
"Blurred Lines" are everywhere this summer, but there's one place they don't belong: on the road. Assign a designated driver for that epic end-of-the-summer rager, or — if everyone's planning on hitting the punch bowl — share a cab. It's really not that expensive, and it's totally worth it to get everyone to and from the party safely.
+ Watch Miley Cyrus, "We Can't Stop" (#votemiley)
"We Can't Stop" obsessing over Miley's new song, but sometimes the summer gives us a little too much time to obsess over less positive things. If you can't stop worrying about the start of the school year, the end of a summer fling or something more serious, check out MTV's Half of Us for resources on dealing with worries and anxiety.
+ Watch Selena Gomez, "Come & Get It" (#voteselena)
"If you want it, come and get it!" And, by "it," I mean an education. Get Schooled is all about making higher education a possibility for everyone. Check out My College Dollars for a list of grants, scholarships and other ways to make college affordable today.
"I Need Your Love" is a feel-good song, but sometimes feel-good songs only serve to make me feel bad about the ex-boyfriend who left me for a Victoria's Secret model. (Yes. That really happened. What's a girl to do?) If this song reminds you a little too much of an early summer fling who has since stopped liking your Instagram pics, check out Half Of Us for healthy breakup tips.
"Best Song Ever" is currently slaying the Best Song of the Summer competition, but I think the song title gives it an unfair advantage. Well, that and the fact that it's sung by five, totally talented, totally lovable British guys. Join the Love Is Louder movement if, like 1D, you've been spreadin' good cheer all summer long.
