Now that Taylor Swift has turned the big 2-4, will she soon release a song called “24″? Whatever her future songs entail, we do know that her past has included a lot of philanthropy. So in honor of her b-day, let’s take a look at ways she’s given back in the past year!

+ She Helps Others Get That Music Education!

Music education is being cut all over, and Taylor’s not about to stand for that. She recently opened a $4 million music education school in Nashville. Taylor talked about how excited she was when the school opened, and she wasn’t the only one!

+ She Visits Hospitals for Kids

Philadelphia is called the City of Brotherly Love, but Taylor got to show it some sisterly love. While in the midst of her Red tour, she made sure to visit the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She wanted to remain low-key about it, but Ryan Seacrest was so impressed with her actions he let the world know.

+ She Drinks Responsibly

Many people enjoy a drink now and then, no denying it, but the point is always to drink responsibly. Taylor’s one who’s spoken out about not guzzling and MTV Act covered her in the past for that. “I don’t drink much alcohol,” she said. “If it doesn’t taste like candy or sparkles, I usually don’t drink it.” Fair enough.

+ She Enjoys a Little Comic Relief

Taylor’s dated Brits, and she’s also been involved with British charity. Earlier this year she got involved with Comic Relief, which uses wacky and fun ways to raise money for less fortunate people in the United Kingdom and Africa.
