Many young people who moved to America illegally with their parents are now being offered a way to stay in the country instead of being forced to leave. They'd be granted work permits and be allowed to legally hold jobs.

You don’t really think of Utah as a place that would have a gay pride parade, but it happened in Salt Lake City. A few weeks ago Erika Munson started a group called Mormons Building Bridges because she wanted to show some LGBT support in the heavily Mormon state. This is the first time Mormons have marched in the parade. The Mormon Church has been in the news a lot the past few years for its pronounced opposition to same-sex marriage and its strong rhetoric against gay sexuality, but at least 300 Mormons disagree and publicly let their opinions be known at the parade.

A new season of “Keeping up with the Kardashians” is now airing, and the sisters are also keeping up on the news. People around the country were on the lookout for missing 15-year-old Pierce Crowley, who was last seen Friday in White Plains, New York. Pierce, along with a friend (who eventually went home) snuck out of a side door of a New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Luckily Pierce was safely found at 12:30 am last night in New York City.

Many people were sad when “Glee” ended last week, but actress Amber Riley had sadder news to share on Twitter. On Tuesday, a 5.8 earthquake hit Northern Italy and at least 16 people died, with another reported missing and 350 suffering from assorted injuries.

Last month we introduced you to Jen Tyrrell, a mom and former scout leader of the Boys Scouts who was thrown out for being gay. Jen did something really heroic then -- she stood up and said she’d had enough of the anti-LGBT discrimination from the Scouts and started a petition at Change.org. Now her petition has more than 275,000 signatures asking the Scouts to allow LGBT people to join as scouts and scout leaders. Today 20-year-old  Zach Wahls, an Eagle Scout who penned the memoir "My Two Moms," is presenting the petition at the Boy Scouts National Annual Meeting and we’ve all got our fingers crossed. As does "Vampire Diaries" star and pop singer Kat Graham.

Kelly Clarkson’s song "Stronger" is an inspiration to listeners all over the globe, and some young patients, parents and medical staff at the Seattle Children’s Hospital used the upbeat pop song as a way to show how strong they are. They made a quality video lip syncing and dancing to Kelly’s song, and the video has since gotten close to 2 milli views!
