MTV, Get Schooled and the College Board have launched a Facebook app that uses your profile to connect you with financial aid opportunities! It's called “My College Dollars"--and, with the help of award winning singer-songwriter and American Musical and Dramatic Academy college graduate Jason Derulo, applying for financial aid just got wayyy easier!

Just thinking about the fact that 1.4 billion people around the world live on less than $1.50 a day is enough to make our heads spin and hearts sink. How can an Average Joe/Jane possibly make a dent on numbers like that? Then we hear that throwing a "BeadParty" could make all the difference for poor families in Uganda. Count us in.

Young entrepreneurs Alex Budak and Tom Dawkins couldn't financially get their idea off the ground. Their problem inspired them to instead launch StartSomeGood to help crowd-fund others' social change projects--echoing what Echoing Green's fellowships have aimed to do since 1991. The fellowship program--which is currently seeking applicants, particularly Latino social entrepreneurs--awards up to $90,000 to innovative ideas!

It’s a shot representing peaceful protest and solidarity for the rights of one 15-year old boy in Indonesia who is facing up to 5 years of hard prison time … for stealing a pair of shoes. The locals of Palu, Central Sulawesi, Indonesia, have donated sandals and flip-flops to show support for the teen.
