One Billion Rising is working to stop violence against women (alarmingly, one in three women will be physically or sexually assaulted during her lifetime) and people from all walks of life (celebs, me, hopefully you, hopefully A BILLION PEOPLE) are coming together for this major campaign.

MTV has hooked up with One Billion Rising to stop violence against women, and as part of the MTV fam, Vinny Guadagnino has joined in on the campaign. Tomorrow people across the globe are going to rise for women’s rights, and Vinny gave a Twitter shoutout to Royce White, who’s also taking part in the big day.

If he were still around, Abraham Lincoln would be turning 204 (!!!) today. It’d be understandable if you thought slavery's been history for nearly as long – after all, we've all heard plenty about the Emancipation Proclamation and when Lincoln freed the slaves. Today, though, there are an estimated 27 million slaves worldwide -- more than during Lincoln's time -- with incidences of sex and labor trafficking reported in all fifty states.
