Decades ago, when people were upset about the state of the world, they marched, and rallied, and wrote epic protest songs. Today, we go on 2 a.m. Twitter rants. The ONE Campaign, co-founded by Bono, is turning hipsters to hippies this week with the launch of agit8 -- a musical movement designed to revive old protest songs and motivate people and politicians to take action against global poverty.

Many people are waiting to hear how the Supreme Court decides on same-sex marriage, but not everyone realized that until recently people of different races could have trouble marrying in America. Loving v. Virginia changed this on June 12, 1967, and today the Loving Day Project marks its 10th annual Loving Day celebration.

Today is the 32nd anniversary of the discovery of AIDS. The disease has killed more than 30 million people in the last three decades, and more than 900 babies are born with HIV every day. (RED) wants there to be an AIDS -free generation by 2015, so the organization is rallying the globe to break a world record and raise awareness for the cause!
