"The Hard Times of RJ Berger" starlet Caitlin Crosby chatted with us last week about her pay it forward initiative, The Giving Keys. Now, she wants you to "Love Your Flawz" (yes, with a "z").
Crosby started Love Your Flawz with another actress, Brie Larson, in response to a large number of actresses they knew who thought poorly of themselves.
"We saw how many beautiful girls there were who really were not feeling good about themselves and feeling beautiful even though they were on the cover of magazines and stuff. We were like 'Something is not right with this.'"
Instead of chalking these girls' insecurities up to typical entertainment industry woes and ignoring it, Crosby and Larson decided to take action. So LoveYourFlawz.com went up, and an international effort to encourage young adults to love themselves ensued.
"I think it's really important to try to not get our value and worth from what other people think of us or comparing ourselves to magazines and TV shows...because a lot of the things you see are not real and everything in magazines is completely airbrushed," Crosby told Act.
Love Your Flawz asks supporters to upload a picture of themselves holding up signs that say something about a flaw they have. This includes YOU, Act enthusiast. Take a pic with your Love Your Flawz sign, like these celebs did, then upload it to LoveYourFlawz.com.
Tune in tonight at 10/9c for the season finale of "The Hard Times of RJ Berger."
