Our boy Baracksdubs has done it again! Last year, MTV Act and Baracksdubs debuted Barack Obama "singing" 2012's summer jam, "Call Me Maybe," and this year, President Barry is feeling the heat again. This time around he's covering Daft Punk's let's-stay-out-all-night-and-make-out summer hit, "Get Lucky."
That's right. And it's just as AMAZING as you'd think -- even our favorite incognito French robots would approve!
Baracksdubs -- real name Fadi Saleh -- has created many memorable Obama in karaoke-mode moments since last year. Along with "Call Me Maybe," (38 million views and counting), Barry "performed" MC Hammer's "U Can't Touch This" (over 4.7 million views) right after he won the election, Justin Bieber's "Boyfriend" (over 8.6 million views), LMFAO's "Sexy and I Know It" (over 20.6 million views) and Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" (over 8.7 million views). NBD as 20-year-old Fadi just completed his sophomore year of college. Because, you know, we all did stuff in college that the president was interviewed about. Yep, Mr. President has seen Fadi's famed "Call Me Maybe" video and called it a "cute pop song."
We all know he got lucky and won the election last year, but we're hoping the president's grasping some four-leaf clovers this week as we all patiently await the Supreme Court of the United States' decision on two same-sex marriage cases. The outcome? We're hoping we can all "get lucky" in the near future and marry whomever we choose -- regardless of gender. To take action on marriage equality or stay up to date with all things Baracksdubs, take action below, and remember to keep your fingers crossed!
